The Third Generation

   Mary Mercille was a cousin of Catherine Murphy who helped nurse Catherine during her final illness. Some time after Catherine's death she married James McCool. When and where the marriage took place is not known. This second marriage for James resultd in 5 more children, three of whom, Edwin, William and Frederick died in infancy. All evidence indicates that the blending of the two families was a harmonious one. Mary Mercille died in 1911 and is buried in Pembroke, Ontario.
