The Fourth Generation
Ernie McCool was the youngest of the children of James McCool and came into possession of the farm property that was part of the original Fort William purchase from the Hudson's Bay Company. He married Virginia Morris, also from a large Pontiac family of Irish heritage. For many years Virginia was the organist at St. Paul's Church at Sheenboro. She eventually moved to Ohio and most of the family of ten children also emigrated to Ohio. Two of the children, Kathleen and Alice, died very young and one of the two boys, John, also died at a relatively young age.
